High Row Residential Centre

Life Changing Opportunities

High Row offers so many possibilities for young people to have a life-changing residential experience – from living together and sharing domestic chores to experiencing all the challenges of adventurous activities (hill walking, mountain climbing, ghyll scrambling, watersports and much more), offering a chance to escape the urban lifestyle and embrace nature in the Lake District.

Fantastic Rural Location

High Row is located at the foot of Carrock Fell, offering a unique opportunity to explore the beauty of the Lake District through outdoor pursuits and activities.

It is ideally situated for access to Caldbeck Fells, Blencathra, and Skiddaw Forest. There is also east access for the many watersports opportunities in the Lake District.

A Look Inside...

High Row can house up to (NUMBER) people, a communal space downstairs with a boot room, drying room and a kitchen. There are plenty of toilets and showers throughout the building, upstairs and downstairs, that can accommodate large groups.

Some History...

The centre was formally known as the Carrock Fell Youth Hostel and is ideally situated for access to the Caldbeck Fells, Blencathra and Skiddaw Forrest.

Working together with members of Maryport Boys’ and Girls’ Club, the centre has been refurbished to provide comfortable and welcoming accommodation all year round.
