Players from our affiliated clubs across Essex and East London are picked to represent the EBGC at Under 15’s level in a series of friendlies with professional clubs, ending with a Football Tour in Wales.
Trial Day
The project begins with a trial day, where affiliated clubs and players are invited to attend and take part in activities. The players we feel would benefit the most from the experience, are invited to be a part.
Friendlies
From November to January, beneficiaries will take part in a series of friendlies, playing teams representing the West Ham Foundation, Norwich City and Southend United.
The Wales Football Tour
In February, the team are invited to join a 5-day long football tour, where they partake in different activities and face oppositions such as the ‘Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales’, ‘Swindon Town’ and ocassionally teams from the ‘Welsh Premier League’. The last two years, we have been able to treat participants to attend an EFL Championship match at ‘Swansea City’.
