A five year grant from The Big Lottery has enabled us to increase opportunities available to young people in Essex.

The project is focused specifically in the districts of Tendring, Maldon, Braintree, Uttlesford, and parts of Colchester district. 

We continue to work hand in hand with the community and existing voluntary groups to set up new youth provision.

We offer support and advice to get the club started and provide ongoing development where clubs can engage and grow.

As part of the development process clubs can access the wide range of resources that EBGC have to offer. These include:

• Training and qualifications for young people, volunteers and staff
• Young Leader Programme
• Club activities
• Advice on policies and procedures
• International trips
• General club support

We are now in year 3 of the project and below is a list of clubs we have been working with:

4 Youth Brightlingsea, Bockings Elm YC, Braintree Youth Project Charity, Chesterford YC, Colne Engaine YC, Da Latchingdon Club, Flitch Green YC, Gt Bardfield YC, Helions Bumpstead YC, H.E.L.P. , Mayland Amateur Boxing & Sports Development Club, Newport YC, Rayne Boxing Club, Sampfords YC, Takeley YC, Thaxted YG, The Ashdon Hang Out, St.Anne’s YC and Wix YC.

We are currently in consultation with local communities with a view to establishing a number of new Youth Clubs in the coming months.
